PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid transparent cosmetic having excellent handleability during production and further ensuring even safety as the cosmetic. SOLUTION: This transparent solid cosmetic is characterized by formulating one or more kinds selected from 12-hydroxystearic acid or a dextrin fatty acid ester and a resin component separated from candellila wax by solvent extraction. Furthermore, the transparent solid cosmetic is characterized by formulating the one or more kinds selected from the 12-hydroxystearic acid or the dextrin fatty acid ester containing a transparent viscous liquid oil such as diisostearyl malate, diglyceryl triisostearate or triglyceryl tetraisostearate and the resin component separated from the candellila wax by the solvent extraction.
