PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize cooking information retrieving device and system for providing cooking information matched with a user's personal request. SOLUTION: The cooking information retrieving device is provided with an input means 3 for inputting 1st cooking information to be previously stored, a user's cooking environment, cooking technology information, 2nd cooking information downloaded from an external storage medium 9, and the contents of the information, a decoding means 11, a storage means 2 for storing the information, a management means 12 for managing respective means, a retrieving means 10 for retrieving the information, and a display means 4 for displaying retrieved information. Since cooking utensils optimum to each cooking recipe in the cooking information are determined and selected, cooking means such as the operation method of the cooking utensils selected for the cooking recipe, a cooking condition and a cooking process are displayed on a display means by using a conversion means, cooking information matched with a user's personal request can be provided.
