PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional method in which a tugboat tows a barge with a wire rope causes hard service under severe weather conditions such as high waves. SOLUTION: A hemispheric projecting part is provided at a leading end of a pusher board, and a hydraulic cylinder 1 and a connecting shaft 2 which thus operates horizontally are placed over a center axis of it hemispheric radius R. A back end of the barge is provided with a recessed part in which the hemispheric projecting part at the leading end of the pusher boat can be fitted. Each sidewall of the recessed part has a vertical connecting groove 3 at a part corresponding to the center axis of the hemispheric radius R of the hemispheric projecting part provided at the leading end of the pusher boat. When the pusher boat is connected to or disconnected from the barge, the connecting shaft 2 of the pusher boat is inserted into or pulled out of the connecting groove 3 by operation of the hydraulic cylinder 1.
