PURPOSE: A skew control device for an optical recording/reproducing device is provided to maintain the strength of a spindle holder relatively highly and increase the strength of the skew control device for increasing the operation reliability of the skew control device by supporting screw springs in guide bosses of the spindle holder. CONSTITUTION: A skew control device for an optical recording/reproducing device includes a pickup base(30) movably mounted with an optical pickup, a spindle holder(40) mounted to the pickup base and having a plurality of guide bosses(42) to be penetrated by coupling screws(62) in the center, a spindle motor(50) mounted to the spindle holder by coupling elements and having a turntable(52) for securing a disc to rotate the disc, and elastic elements such as skew springs(60) supported at a side of the spindle motor and the spindle holder at both ends and mounted in the guide bosses for elastically supporting the spindle motor in the spindle holder in cooperation with the coupling elements.
