The arrangement has non-driven rollers for carrying and guiding the conveyed material, a driven feed roller (4) mounted between the non-driven rollers and control electronics for controlling a drive for the roller. The drive roller is connected to a first drive (42) and associated first drive unit (421) for generating a required traction force for moving the conveyed material along the conveying plane. A second drive (43) with an associated second drive unit (431) generates a sufficient force pressing the drive roller against the conveyed material. Both mutually independently driven drives are coordinated by the control electronics.
