PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device surely carrying paper sheets in an existing carrying passage in a simple form at a low material cost, by improving a device for carrying paper sheets through a printing machine in a form of comprising endless carrying belts 10, 15 running through a direction change roller, having paper sheets held and guided in order by friction force between the carrying belts 10, 15 and being provided with plural rollers 30 to generate friction force and having the rollers 30 press the carrying belts 10, 15 each other along the carrying passage. SOLUTION: Contacting surfaces of the carrying belts 10, 15 to paper sheets 5 are provided with surface coating 20 composed of material having higher friction coefficient than that of the paper sheets 5.
