PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker for which its characteristics can be easily measured in the state of finished product. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker comprises a bimetal 2 of which one end is fixed and other end is free, and an operation plate 4 which is latched to keep a closed pole condition by a latch part 21 arranged in a movable part 20 working with the bimetal 2 and is changed to an open pole condition due to release of the latch. While a measuring window 11 for measuring the position of the bimetal or the latch part is arranged in a housing 1 for housing the bimetal 2 and the operation plate 4, and a receding part is provided in a component located between the measuring window 11 in the housing and a position measuring part to secure visibility from the measuring window 11 to the measured part.
