PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium that can accurately execute continuous regeneration of old data and new data with effectively practical using a record area when adding to record the new data to the record area. SOLUTION: The information recording medium records linking position information indicating the position, where this one bit of information is divided into a plurality of divisions to be recorded at a specified position in an error correcting block, when recording the one bit of information for each of the error correcting blocks. The error correcting block is constructed of a prescribed number of sectors, and each of the sectors is constructed of a prescribed number of synchronous-frames. The linking position information is recorded in a data area around the head position of a specified synchronous-frame in the specified sector.
