AQUEOUS COLORED PARTICLE DISPERSION FOR USE IN INK JET PRINTING LIQUID, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND INK JET PRINTING LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an aqueous colored particle dispersion for use in ink jet printing liquid, which can provide an image of high quality having water- resistance and weather-resistance, to provide a manufacturing method therefor and to prepare ink jet printing liquid containing the dispersion. SOLUTION: Colored resin (I) is formed by dispersing pigment (B) in a polyester resin (A) that has a terminal group which is formed by the ring-opening addition reaction between a terminal hydroxyl group of a polyester resin having a hydroxyl group at its terminal and an acid anhydride and/or a terminal group which is formed by the ring-opening addition reaction between a terminal carboxyl group of a polyester resin having a carboxyl group at its terminal and an aliphatic mono epoxy compound. Aqueous colored particle dispersion is formed by dispersing the colored resin (I) in an aqueous medium (II) to be perticulated. The colored resin (I) is dissolved in alcohol and/or a glycol ether series solvent, and then being mixed with the aqueous medium (II), thereby the method for manufacturing the dispersion and the ink jet printing liquid containing the dispersion as an indispensable component are provided.
