PURPOSE: A fan motor is provided to prevent partial side wear and damage of bearing by uniformly distributing support force of a blower fan, while lengthening useful lie of an air blower and reducing vibration and noise of an air blower. CONSTITUTION: A fan motor comprises a rotor constituted by a rotor yoke(6) fixed to a hub(4) of a blower fan(2) and a permanent magnet(8) mounted at the inner periphery of the rotor yoke; a stator core(12) disposed inside the permanent magnet and wound with a coil for applying power; a shaft(16) having a lower end fixed upright to a base(14) and a top for supporting the hub of the air blower, in such a manner that the shaft supports the blower fan; and a support frame(22) fixed to the lower surface of the rotor yoke, and which is supported, to be rotatable, by the shaft. The hub has, at a center thereof, a groove for insertion of the shaft. A first bearing(20) is interposed between the shaft and the groove formed at the hub, and a second bearing(24) is interposed between the support frame and the shaft.
