<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the coefficient of friction and the wear rate by exposing a support to a vacuum in a container together with a bronze layer sintered on the support, then taking out this slide bearing material and drying it after feeding a PTFE suspension, and further, compressing the bronze layer stripped of a PTFE coated layer by rolling. SOLUTION: A bronze 2 powder layer is formed on a support 1 of steel, and then is preliminary sintered and finally sintered in a belt furnace for sintering. Thus a steel plate with a specific porous bronze layer is manufactured and it exposed to a vacuum by introducing the steel plate into a container. After that, a PTFE suspension is supplied into the container and is drained from the container after the lapse of a specified permeation time, then this slide bearing material is taken out of the container and is sent into a drying furnace. Following this step, this slide bearing material is cold-rolled to compact it. The PTFE material 3 is stored in the vacancy of the bronze layer to act as a solid lubricating material. This slide bearing material is fabricated by machining.</p> |
