PURPOSE: Provided are an aromatic condensed ring compound, a material useful for light emitting device which can convert an electric energy into light to emit a light, and a light emitting device using the material. CONSTITUTION: The material for light emitting device comprises a compound represented by formula 1(wherein each of Ar11, Ar21 and Ar31 is an arylene group, each of Ar12, Ar22, and Ar32 is a substituent or hydrogen atom, provided that at least one of Ar11, Ar21, Ar31, Ar12, Ar22, and Ar32 have phenanthrene structure, or condensed ring-aryl structure having more than 4 rings, Ar is trivalent arene group or heteroarene group). |
