PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a usable energy from a circulating water flowing in a circulating channel and released, in a power generating facility. SOLUTION: In this power generation system using the micro water turbine, a cooling water supplied by a circulating pump 7 to a condenser 4 which condenses steam discharged from a steam turbine 3 of the power generating facility 2 is introduced to a by-pass channel 10 arranged so as to branch from a circulating channel 9 which releases the cooling water to an outside, whereby a power generation is carried out by the micro water turbine 11 and a generator 12 which are arranged to the by-pass channel 10.
