PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the follow-up delay of an optical pickup for an objective lens in the access of multiple lines in a track jump carried out while controlling the relative speed of a light spot and an optical disk at a predetermined target speed. SOLUTION: The track jump device is provided with a tracking loop filter 22 which generates a tracking driving signal (b) to drive a tracking actuator 13 by using a tracking error signal (a) from a tracking error detecting circuit 21 and then outputs an acceleration-deceleration discrimination signal indicating the acceleration-deceleration of the objective lens at the track jump, a traverse speed control signal generating part 32 which generates a signal to accelerate and decelerate the moving speed of an optical pickup 11 at the track jump on the basis of the acceleration-deceleration discrimination signal, and a traverse loop filter part 33 which generates a traverse driving signal (d) to move the optical pickup 11 on the basis of the output signal of the tracking loop filter 22.
