The mirror is mounted in an auxiliary mirror housing, adjustable by electric drive and arranged outboard of the external mirror in a useful position. The drive is mounted in the auxiliary housing, which is reversibly attached via a bearer arm to the mirror housing or a part supported on it. Electrical connections are connected to counter contacts for the electric motor either automatically when attaching the bearer arm to the housing or manually. The mirror is mounted in an auxiliary mirror housing (5) and adjustable by an electric drive, whereby the auxiliary mirror is arranged outboard of the external mirror (2) in a useful position. The drive is mounted in the auxiliary mirror housing, which is reversibly attached via a bearer arm (6) to the mirror housing (3) or a part supported on it. Electrical connections on the mirror are connected to counter contacts connected to the electric motor either automatically when attaching the bearer arm to the housing or manually.
