PURPOSE: A process of preparing a therapeutic and preventive composition for ocular disease treating a mixture of Rhizoma Coptidis, Phellodendron amurense Rupr., Ramulus mori and the like with salt is provided. Whereby, the composition is effective in treatment and prevention of glaucoma, cataract, conjunctivitis, etc. as well as ocular disease. CONSTITUTION: A mixture containing 2±1% by weight of each Rhizoma Coptidis, Phellodendron amurense Rupr., Ramulus mori, Fraxinus rhynchophylla Hance and Artemisia asiatica Nakai is inserted into a bamboo together with salt. The opening of the bamboo is clogged with Artemisia asiatica Nakai and sintered in ceramic kiln made of germanium, elvan, maekseomseok(Korean native name, synthetic mineral material of elvan and amphibole), jade, etc., to produce bamboo salt, which is mixed with the mixture and sintered and then the above procedure is repeated several times and ground.
