PURPOSE: An anti-back flow device for a drainpipe is provided to completely prevent the back flow of bad smell and foul water from the drainpipe while securing the smooth drainage thereof in use. CONSTITUTION: The anti-back flow device for a drainpipe comprises a body(1) defining a top opened inner space(11), a V-shaped bottom guide surface(12) of the body being formed with a center draining hole(13); an opening/closing ball(2) received in the body to close the draining hole; an upper cap(3) coupled to the top of the body, an inverted V-shaped guide surface(31) being formed with a center draining hole(32); and a screen(4) coupled to the top of the upper cap. The ball usually shuts the draining hole of the body by using the gravity thereof to prevent the back flow of bad smell from the drainpipe, while the ball shuts the draining hole of the upper cap during the back flow of foul water. Also, the ball can secure a smooth drainage operation by virtue of its buoyance during the outflow of the foul water.
