PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive foaming pressure detector simple in constitution for detecting the foaming pressure accompanying the foaming in a mold by sensing the pressure of air in a synthetic resin foam molding process to control foaming work. SOLUTION: In the forming pressure detector, the cavity 3 of a mold for molding a container is filled with a foamable resin raw material from a feeder and the foamable resin raw material is heated and foamed by heated steam in a heating process to mold synthetic resin foam. In this case, the sensing part 23 extruded into the mold by the air pressure, which is supplied to the whole inner surface of the outer cylinder 21 inserted in the resin raw material charging port 20 provided to the mold, is provided in an inner cylinder 22 in a freely slidable manner in opposed relation to the surface of the molded product.
