PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing sheet for pet preventing an edge leakage and high in productivity, to provide equipment for producing such sheets simplified in a structure and a method for producing such sheets. SOLUTION: This water-absorbing sheet for pets is such that an absorbent material 15 is sandwiched between a water-permeable obverse sheet 12 and a reverse sheet 11 as waterproof sheet; wherein both side ends in the cross direction of the surface of the obverse sheet 12 are provided with a pair of bag-shaped selvedges 12b and 12b each including a liquid absorbent 18, the selvedges are folded inward and superposed on the surface of the obverse sheet 12 to form a rim leakage preventive part 19.
