PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basis which facilitates making sure a proof set of a printing job and adjusts the proof set if it is necessary. SOLUTION: There are provided a method and an apparatus for generating the proof set of the digital printing job and delaying the completion of the printing job until the proof set is approved. The invention further includes generation of a proof set which includes printing feature information on each page printed on the proof set in a watermark font.
