<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of an active matrix type display device. SOLUTION: A holding circuit 110 for holding a video signal every pixel is arranged, and a normal operation mode and a memory operation mode are switched to each other for displaying. In the memory operation mode, an output of an oscillation part 300 arranged in a panel is supplied to a pixel electrode, and the power consumption is reduced by halting the operation of a booster circuit 92 of an external circuit board 90 and a driver circuit in the panel. Since the oscillation circuit 300 divides an output of an oscillator 301 by a frequency divider 302, a duty balance of the frequency divider circuit 302 is not lost even if an output duty balance of the oscillator 301 is lost. In the normal operation mode, the oscillation part 300 is halted.</p> |
