PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slippage of the tape-shape grid element of cathode-ray tube color selecting mechanism. SOLUTION: Right and left both ends 103a, 103a of the tape-shape grid element 101 on the face contacting the damper wire 102 are made curved surfaces. Even if the tape-shape grid element 101 is dislocated and makes contact with the damper wire 02, the friction between the tape-shape grid element 101 and the damper wire 102 is reduced, there catching of the tape-shape grid element 101 by the damper wire 102 is prevented.
