PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which doesn't give a bad influence upon a heart pacemaker in a vehicle such as a train and avoids consumption of a battery in the basement of a building or the like to which a radio wave hardly reaches. SOLUTION: When a main power switch 16 is operated, power is supplied to each circuit of a mobile phone 1, and the entire system is operated. When a manner button 17 is operated and a ride editing mode is selected, power supply to a radio part 3 for radio transmission/reception is stopped, and radio transmission/reception is not performed but the system is kept operated, so that an electronic mail can be created and read. When a timer is preliminarily set, a user is informed of that the radio part 3 is in the power-off state when getting off the train, and the user is prevented from forgetting to release the mode. |
