PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette which is neither damaged nor bend easily owing to the high rigidity of a case housing even in the case of being shocked by falling down or collision, etc., and can miniaturize the case housing and in which resin and metal can easily be separated for discarding, no spring member is used for opening and closing a front lid, which gives no load to environment by the reduced number of scrapping parts even in the case of discarding and also recycling is facilitated for disassembled parts since disassembling is easily performed in a recycling process. SOLUTION: The upper half has a pair of fitting and rotating holes on the outer surface or the inner surface on the right and left of the opening part, and has a sliding groove on the rear surface of the case housing in succession to the fitting and rotating hole. The front lid has a sliding shaft member to fit to the fitting and rotating hole and is rotatable with the sliding shaft member fitted to the fitting and rotating hole as a rotary shaft to make the sliding shaft member slide along the sliding groove to make the front lid move backward or forward freely so as to open and close the aperture.
