The circulation water heater has a primary heat exchanger (2) acted upon by a burner, a circulation pump (7) connected to a controller (11) and a feed sensor (5) for detecting the feed temperature. A return sensor (6) connected to the controller detects the return temperature and the controller operates the burner by modulation. AN Independent claim is also included for the method of operating a circulation water heater.
