This invention provides a cartridge which, without the need to provide any new apparatus, can remove a residual liquid in all directions of the leading end of a pipette independently of the viscosity of the residual liquid. This cartridge (100) comprises a plurality of tanks each open at its upper part, wherein a liquid is introduced into or led out from at least one of the plurality of tanks (110 to 119) through a pipette. The cartridge (100) further comprises waste liquid tanks (120 to 122). The waste liquid tanks (120 to 122) comprise capillary phenomenon generation means. The residual liquid present at the leading end of the pipette is brought into contact with the capillary phenomenon generation means in the waste liquid tanks, and the residual liquid is transferred to the capillary phenomenon generation means through the capillary phenomenon to remove the residual liquid from the pipette.
