PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new medicinal agent useful for the treatment and/or prevention of neuropathy through the improvement of the survival rate of the nerve cells or promotion of the axonal growth of the nerve cells. SOLUTION: This nerve cell pro-survival agent contains a cyclic phosphatidic acid derivative expressed by the general formula (I) (wherein, R is a 1-30C linear chain or branched state alkyl, a 2-30C linear chain or branched state alkenyl or a 2-30C linear chain or branched state alkynyl, and these groups may contain a cycloalkane ring or an aromatic ring; and M is H or pair cation) as an active ingredient.
