PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of enhancing display quality by improving blotting (blur) of display and lowering of brightness when a front light is used and to enable bright and brilliant display and electronic equipment having the liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: In a reflective liquid crystal display, a directional front scattered film 18 and the front light are provided so as to conform to a range of an azimuth ϕm and a pole angle θn on the incident side of incident light L1 when the emitting direction of illuminated light L3 from the front light indicates equal to or less than 1/2 of the sum (Tmax+Tmin) when parallel line transmitted light transmitting the directional front scattered film 18 indicates the maximum transmittance (Tmax) and the light indicates the minimum transmittance (Tmin). |
