摘要 PURPOSE: To improve the response characteristic of a liquid crystal display device with a simplified control circuit to improve the picture quality in moving picture display. CONSTITUTION: In the control circuit for liquid crystal display device, a display drive data generating part (12) has a conversion table for referring to the display drive data of a present frame from the present frame picture data and the post-driven state data of the preceding frame. Since this conversion table stores the display driving data or its correction value, correspondingly to the combination of the high-order bits of the present frame picture data and those of the preceding frame picture data, a high speed memory circuit for storing the conversion table can be reduced in capacity. Since the accuracy of the display driving data or its correction value becomes lower associated accompanying the reduction in the capacity of the conversion table, an interpolation circuit is arranged, and the display driving data improved in accuracy by the interpolation operation or its correction value is generated, and the display driving data are obtained by correcting input picture data accordingly.
