The waveguide has conductive strips (5,6,7) arranged in parallel on a substrate (2). The strips have an insulating space (8) electrically insulating them from each other. On the sides of the strips furthest from the substrate is provided a material of high dielectric constant. This is preferably held in close contact with the strips and is preferably a metal material.
