PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document preparing device capable of pressure-contacting documents by a rockable pinch roller. SOLUTION: A pinch roller 30 is fixed to a pinch roller shaft 31, which is supported by a first arm 33 and a second arm 34, and the first and second arms 33 and 34 are fixed to an arm shaft 32 through an E ring 37, and are provided with a bar 36, which is fixed to the first and second arms 33 and 34 through E rings 37. The pinch roller 30 presses the center section of the bar 36 by a third arm 35 having a U-shaped pressing section 39 at the tip section fixed to the arm shaft 32 through a screw 38 so as to be able to rock at a portion near the first and second arms 33 and 34 using the center section as a fulcrum.
