PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding machine capable of generating a high quality ground surface by introducing such an arrangement that a high accuracy grinding process of the ground surface is made practicable at all times continuously with a constant grinding margin without requiring a pretreatment process even if a dispersion exists in the heights of concrete blocks and thereby keeping the grinding ability of a grinding tool and the water permeability of the blocks. SOLUTION: The grinding machine is equipped with a grinding means furnished with the grinding tool 3, a tool oversurface position sensing means to sense the wearing situation of the tool oversurface, a tool oversurface position correcting means to correct the oversurface of the grinding tool 3 to a constant position, a concrete block carrying means consisting of endless running belts 8-10 for carrying concrete blocks and a fixed rail 14 and guide rail 15, a carry-in conveyor 4 to carry in unprocessed blocks to the block carrying means, and a carry-out conveyor 5 to carry out the processed blocks.
