<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which does not cause toner fusion on an a-Si (amorphous silicon) photoreceptor when a toner having positive chargeability with respect to the photoreceptor is used and which has a cleaning system free of defective cleaning and toner escape and having good cleaning performance. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic system image forming apparatus in which an image is formed using an a-Si photoreceptor and single-component magnetic toner and the residual toner after transfer is removed with a cleaning unit, a positive charge type magnetic toner containing resin particles containing a bonding resin and a magnetic material and a negative charge type inorganic fine powder containing a rare earth fluoride compound and a rare earth oxide compound is used as the magnetic toner, the cleaning unit has a cleaning blade pressed on a rotating electrostatic latent image support and the cleaning blade is formed with an elastic member as a blade having 1±10 deg.C peak temperature of tanδas its viscoelastic characteristics.</p> |
