CHARGE CONTROLLING RESIN AND TONER CONTAINING CHARGE- CONTROLLING RESIN FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner which gives a good image because of containing a charge controlling resin which does not break off from the surface of the toner, and has a lower rate of decrease in the charge amount under a high temperature and high humidity condition compared with a toner containing a charge controlling agent. SOLUTION: The charge controlling resin, obtained by reacting a resin comprising as a constituting unit an unsaturated dibasic acid anhydride and/or a carboxylic group-containing monomer with a metallic compound of a derivative of salicylic acid, is incorporated into a toner thereby permitting to reduce the rate of decrease in the charge amount under a high temperature and high humidity condition.
