PURPOSE: A flat display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce processing time and increase the yield of product by eliminating source/drain electrode, a pixel electrode, or a mask for a contact hole for connecting a semiconductor layer. CONSTITUTION: Semiconductor layers(160,210) are formed on a predetermined region of a pixel area neighboring signal lines. Source/drain electrodes(170,175,230,235) are formed on each of both ends of the semiconductor layers(160,210) with a metal forming the pixel electrode. A gate insulating layer covers the source/drain electrodes(170,175,230,235) and insulates upper electrodes of the semiconductor layers(160,210) and the source/drain electrodes(170,175,230,235). Gate electrodes(180,270) are formed on a region corresponding to a central region of the semiconductor layers(160,210) as a predetermined size. |
