PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating thermal decomposition gas which prevents the generation and re-synthesis of dioxins in the case of combustion treatment, by an emergency combustion device, of the thermal decomposition gas generated in an emergency of a thermal decomposition plant for waste materials and which realizes an efficient combustion and which can prevent the enlargement of the size of the emergency combustion device. SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating the thermal decomposition gas of a waste material 40 is provided with a thermal decomposition furnace 1 and an ordinary apparatus for treating gas 30. The thermal decomposition furnace 1 is connected to a condenser for thermal decomposition gas 3 removing the precursors of dioxins from the thermal decomposition gas 10 from the thermal decomposition furnace 1 in an emergency. The condenser for thermal decomposition gas 3 is connected to an emergency combustion device 2 for combustion- treating the thermal decomposition gas 10. Thereby, the thermal decomposition gas 10 from which the precursors of dioxins are removed by the condenser for thermal decomposition gas 3 is fed to the emergency combustion device 2. |
