PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die set block for reducing preparatory jobs by safely and easily attaching the block to and detaching the block from a press device and to provide a die using it. SOLUTION: On at least one side of both end faces of the main body 13, 13a, 13b of the die set block 12, 12a for defining the positional relation of a punch holder 2 and a die holder 6, freely movable engaging bodies 23a, 23b which are made to freely appear from the inside of this main body 13, 13a, 13b and are retracted into it and engaged with the engaging part of the die by operating control knobs 15a, 15b from the outside are provided.
