PURPOSE: To provide sewing machine parts which are oilless and are capable of surely preventing the wear and burn damage of contact surfaces to which vibration is exerted for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: The sewing machine parts have a substrate 13 formed to a prescribed shape and the contact surface 12 which is disposed in at least a portion of the surface of the substrate 13 and comes into contact with the other sewing machine parts 3. The substrate 13 is formed of iron and steel materials containing a chromium component in excess of 1.0 wt.%. The contact surface 12 is formed of a cured layer 14 disposed by subjecting the substrate 13 to nitriding treatment or composite treatment adding the nitriding treatment to tempering treatment.
