摘要

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to stabilize an electric field in a pixel area by reinforcing a fringe field and improve the stability of domains, thereby improving the quality of pictures. CONSTITUTION: In a liquid crystal display including a first insulating board, a first wiring formed on the first board in one direction, a second wiring crossing with the first wiring, a pixel electrode formed within a pixel area formed by the first and second wirings crossed with each other and formed of several small parts and connecting parts connecting the small parts, a switching element connected with the first and second wirings and the pixel electrodes, a third wiring crossing with the second wiring and having a plurality of branch electrodes, a second board opposite to the first board, a common electrode formed on the second board, a domain dividing element formed on the second board, each small part of the pixel electrode has long sides and short sides in parallel with the first wiring or the second wiring; the third wiring is placed among the first wiring, the second wiring and the long sides adjacent thereto.
