TARGET FOR NEUTRON IRRADIATION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a target for neutron irradiation which can be used repeatedly by making it possible to cool the target with cooling water to restrain the rise of the temperature in a neutron irradiation test. SOLUTION: A main body of the target irradiated with neutrons is made of tungsten, and the whole periphery of the main body of the target is covered directly with gold so that it can be cooled with the cooling water in the target for neutron irradiation.
