PROTECTING PLATE DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of a protecting plate which may be caused if the depth of a pit in the lowest floor is smaller than a specified value. SOLUTION: The protecting plate 7 is provided on the side of a bottom plate 6 of a car 1 corresponding to a floor 12. The protecting plate 7 consists of a fixed plate 7a and a movable plate 7b elevatable with respect to the fixed plate 7a. The movable plate 7b is so flexible as to be moved down with its dead weight and stopped by a stopper 11.
