PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss in a gear speed increasing mechanism of turbo compressor. SOLUTION: A large diameter gear 23A is attached to an output shaft 21 of a motor, a small diameter pinion 27A is attached to a compressor shaft 24 of a compressing mechanism, and the gear speed increasing mechanism 28A is composed of the gear 23A and the pinion 27A. Bearings 25A and 26A rotatably supporting the compressor shaft 24 are composed of angular contact ball bearings 101-105. The angular contact ball bearings 101-105 have smaller loss in comparison with a sliding bearing, and they can reduce power loss. A pressure angle of the gear 23A and the pinion 27A is 25 degrees. Since the pressure angle is large, tooth flank frictional resistance is reduced and power loss is reduced. Smooth power transmission is realized by composing the gear 23A and the pinion 27A by helical gears.
