PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate to specify the destination of prints made through a network. SOLUTION: A system is constructed in which clients, a server such as a print portal, and printers are connected to a network. The client transmits a print request to the print portal using communications C1 to specify the contents to be printed. The print request is held in the print portal under a condition in which it can be specified by the client's address information IPMP. The print portal causes the printer 70 and the client MP to make direct communications C2 using weak electric waves or the like to obtain the client's address information and the printer's ID information. Further, the pieces of address information obtained from two systems are allocated against each other whereby the printer specified by these pieces of ID information is specified as the destination of outputs. In this way, the destination of outputs can be easily specified without the need for the client to perform complex operation. |
