PURPOSE: A system for providing additional services of a digital TV is provided to allow a user to change a news anchor or the MC of a broadcasting program with a character the user wants. CONSTITUTION: A server(100) includes a character DB(101) storing various kinds of characters, an information DB(102) storing broadcasting information, a synthesizing unit(103) for synthesizing the voice and image of a character, selected from the characters stored in the character DB by a user, with the broadcasting information stored in the information DB, and an agent manager(104) for transmitting the synthesized signal. A digital TV(1051,1052,105n) includes an additional service processor for transmitting a character to the server when the user selects the character from various characters sent from the server. The additional service processor receives the synthesized signal from the agent manager and outputs the corresponding broadcasting information as the voice and image of the character selected by the user.
