PURPOSE: A CDMA system using a mobile terminal having a couple of baseband receivers and a service method thereby are provided to minimize the power consumption of a mobile terminal by receiving paging channel instruction information using a specific channel, other than a paging channel, and interrupting unnecessary paging information according to the instruction. CONSTITUTION: A CDMA mobile system consists of a base station(100) covering a cell coverage(130) and auxiliary base stations(110,120) respectively covering specific areas in the cell coverage(130) of the base station(100). The base station(100) executes existing services, interworking with new terminals(101,111,122) and network equipments as well as existing terminals. The base station(100) provides a supplemental channel so that the new terminal(101) can execute the first additional function to reduce the power consumption. The auxiliary base station(110) covering a specific area in the cell coverage(130) can take charge of the functions of a wireless private exchange. The new terminal(111) in the service area of the auxiliary base station(110) executes the second additional function while waiting for an existing service. The auxiliary base station(120) covering another specific area(150) in the cell coverage(130) can take charge of the functions of a miniaturized local base station that provides local information. The new terminal(121) in the service area(150) of the auxiliary base station(120) executes the third additional function while waiting for an existing service.
