PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing device and a manufacturing method capable of continuously dividing a multiple electrode panel having undergone active material filling, drying, formation, slitting and the like into single plates without using manual work such as manual cutting. SOLUTION: This manufacturing device for an electrode plate for a storage battery is used for dividing the multiple electrode plate 1 into the single plates 3. The manufacturing device for the electrode plate for a storage battery is so structured that a pair of rotative bodies each composed by plurally connecting rollers 4 and 5 having different diameters on the same shaft adjacently to each other are disposed by facing them to each other, and the widths of the respective rollers faced to each other are equal to each other, and the sum of the diameters of the respective rollers faced to each other is set constant.
