摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of an earthquake resistant propulsion pipe, which enables performance specifications of the joint to be easily determined, because variations do not occur in strength of a compressive force causing shrinkage to the joint. SOLUTION: The joint structure of the earthquake resistant propulsion pipe is provided with a lock ring 3, which is provided inside a socket 1A of a preceding pipe 1; a protrusion 4 which is formed at an end of a spigot 2A of a subsequent pipe 2 joined to the preceding pipe 1 and which is engaged with the lock ring 3, when a tensile force acts on the joint, a ring 6 for propulsion, which is fixed to the spigot 2A at an interval between the protrusion 4 and the ring 6; a propulsive-force transfer ring 7, which abuts on an end surface of the socket 1A, when the compressive force acts on the joint; and an engaging member 9 to which the compressive force acting on the joint is applied from the ring 6 so as to be transferred to the ring 7 and which buckles during action of the excessive compressive force; the joint structure has a compressive allowance, after buckling; and an engaging part 9A, engaged with the ring 7, is provided at one end of the engaging member 9, which is independent, and an engaging part 9B engaged with the ring 6 is provided at the other end thereof.
