PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auger device, which is mounted on a front of a base machine and which can form an uncurved pile hole with high vertical accuracy. SOLUTION: A casing 24, which is externally inserted into the auger 11 driven for rotation by an auger drive 30, can be driven for rotation by the auger drive 30. Consequently, the auger 11 is guided by the casing 24 so as to enable formation of the uncurved pile hole.
