Acid-blocked amine catalysts for the production of polyurethanes

Novel acid-blocked amine catalysts and their use in the preparation of polyurethanes. The acid-blocked amine catalysts have the general structure shown below:
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="28" wi="51" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" /></Chemistry> wherein A is the residue of an organic acid anhydride; R<Sub>1</Sub> is H or C<Sub>1</Sub> to C<Sub>6</Sub> alkyl; R<Sub>2</Sub> is H or C<Sub>1</Sub> to C<Sub>6</Sub> alkyl; n is an integer of 0 to 10; and B is a compound containing a protonated amine and one or more primary amine, secondary amine, or tertiary amine groups.
