<p>PURPOSE:To allow a terminal equipment to correctly detect a reset request signal outputted from a host computer and to execute resetting operation by superposing the reset request signal formed by the host computer to a transmission line as a DC signal. CONSTITUTION:In the case of resetting the terminal equipment 2 by the host computer 1, a reset request signal formed by the host computer is inputted to a DC signal superposing circuit 14. A DC signal outputted from the circuit 14 is superposed to an AC signal outputted from a MODEM 12 by a transformer 3 and the superposed signal is outputted to the transmission line 3. The DC signal is inputted to a DC signal detecting circuit 24 in the equipment 2 and the circuit 24 detects only the DC signal included in the input signal and outputs a reset signal for detecting the DC signal superposed to the AC signal. The reset signal outputted from the circuit 24 starts the resetting operation of the equipment 2 to reset a MODEM 22 and a coding/decoding circuit 21.</p> |
